Correction: Fake Tokyo Love Soap UPDATE

NEW POST UPDATED!

NEW BOX FOR PHILIPPINE VERSION OF TOKYO LOVE SOAP!

First, I highly recommend buying your tokyo love soaps from www.tokyoloveshop.com as they sell authentic  soaps and is based in Japan and Singapore and is the cheapest since they sell using Japan pricing. DO NOT BUY FROM OVERPRICED FILIPINO RESELLERS specially based in the province as most of their products are tampered and just bought from rakuten thats why it costs way too much. Here in Japan, 48 pieces of TLS premium or one box, costs only about 650 usd / 70,000 yen or about 28,000 pesos not 46,000!. Also, its very rare to find tokyo love soaps in tokyo, its not popular here in Japan its only popular in the Philippines because people says its popular in Japan buts its really not and filipino are gullible and easily fooled. You can basically search the entire tokyo city area and you will not find any decent shop selling tokyo love soap.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2013 UPDATE : AS OF TODAY, HAPPY PRICE ADMITTED THERE ARE FAKE TOKYO LOVE SOAPS. THIS POSTS HAS BEEN OUTDATED AND THE RECENT STAND IS:

THERE ARE FAKE TOKYO LOVE SOAPS.

To be sure, only buy from 100% authentic distributors such as:

http://ainz-tulpe.ainj.co.jp/   if you are in japan (highly recommended, main distributor)
http://www.rakuten.co.jp/ if you are in japan
https://global.rakuten.com/en/ if you are outside japan (not recommended to philipino clients due to high custom tax and it will take a month to arrive)
http://tokyoloveshop.com/ if you are outside japan (Recommended since they ship 5 days only to Philippines and no custom charges worldwide, they also buy their stuff from ainz tulpe shibuya)

All of the sellers above are 100% authentic sellers so their box is 100% japanese version. Happy price released a new box for international clients so it might differ if you buy direct from Japan.

-----WARNING : OUTDATED POST BELOW-----

I offer my sincere apologies to everyone I offended, Apparently, there are no FAKE Tokyo Love Soaps. I was emailed by many users saying that I am wrong and box are really different some have the TL icon some have none.

What I did was I emailed the manufacturer itself to clarify the issue. I asked them:

Dear Happy Price INC.

Does the fake versions of tokyo love soap have the TL icon below the tokyo love soap name? kindly check my blog http://www.japanbeautyreview.com/2012/10/how-to-spot-fake-tokyo-love-soaps-which.html for details. I made an article on how to spot fake tokyo love soap. Kindly guide me so i can help people not to buy the fake products.

Thank you!

And here is what they said: CLICK TO ENLARGE

I really had a hard time understanding his english. I shouldve asked in Japanese but people cannnot understand our conversation if I did. Happy price forwarded my concern to another email.

I then sent an email to support@tokyolovesoap.jp and ask

"HOW TO KNOW IF I BOUGHT FAKE TOKYO LOVE SOAP? is this article accurate: http://www.japanbeautyreview.com/2012/10/how-to-spot-fake-tokyo-love-soaps-which.html"

this is their reply:

Customer support on their manufacturer seems to be very good in english. She explained it well and I hope this clarifies the issue.

I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I offended.

  3. hi, i have bought the soaps but i'm wondering why they shipped those from sweden, not from japan directly. I ordered from  www.tokyoloveshop.com

    thank you very much.

I think its the exlcusivity issue with a store here in Japan who owns the right to sell product within Japan so they ship from other country because if they sell and ship from Japan, it will be illegal because they have a seller. They are a soap company not a marketing/selling company.

  5. Hi Misuke-san,

Thank you for this very informative post. I just would like you to know though that not all Filipino resellers sell this item overpriced. There are sellers like me who sell the soap (along with other Japanese beauty products) with a reasonable profit margin to cover overseas shipping and Philippine custom fees. I too, do not understand how some sellers based here overprice the soap and take advantage of the fad that is going around regarding its amazing benefits. Some even claim that soaps priced low are fake, thus circulating a misconception that there are a lot of fake versions of the soap.

Your previous blog entry and this entry clears out a lot regarding this item, so I'd like to thank you for taking time to post this for the benefit of Filipino love soap users.

    宜しくお願いします。

P.S. I am not posting this to advertise my shop, and rest assured I will not, in any way, use this comment for that purpose.

  6. Thank you Aeka! I have 3 filipino friends here in Japan and filipinos are very nice and very good people but there are some who sell our products thrice the original price which is bad and creating fake fads! I agree with you some filipino sells japanese product for cheap.

I also find it funny that after my mistake, many people begin pointing fingers on fake tokyo love soaps despite knowing that nobody will try to spend millions to imitate a soap to earn just few money. Thank you

  7. I would like to know the process how to to be a wholesaler ...please email me.thanks.

  8. Angelica, the maker of the soap do not offer wholesale, the price is the same if you buy 1 or 2. you can buy it from the factory itself for about 380 pesos + 180 3-4 weeks shipping its about 560 pesos for the cheapest variant. I suggest getting your soap from tokyoloveshop.com because its cheaper (around 450 pesos cheapest variant) if you will apply their coupon code discounts.

  9. hello would kindly give me instruction on how to buy from the factory, I keep searching if the company itself has an online shop but it seems there is none... thank you...

    1. i dont think the factory itself sells because they have resellers and distributors so you have to contact these resellers. Ainz Tulpe is the largest reseller, its a beauty shop in japan with many branches, google it.

    2. thank you, actually I do live in japan but ainz tulpe doesnt have a branch here in Gunma and Im currently buying from Amazon which is quite expensive, thought I can buy it in the factory in a bulk...

    3. factory is stiff in selling in bulk, they need a proof that you own a good business.

  10. how i can get coupon code for discount?

    1. i dont know since i buy my soap locally in the stores since im not an online shopper, but you can ask tokyoloveshop.com since they have coupons everytime. Rakuten.jp dont have coupons.

  11. Hi Miyumi san,

I checked your previous blog and you had said there that you bought tokyo love soap original for 720 yen at ainz tulpe. May I know where particular branch of ainz tulpe who sells TLS original for 720yen? I bought TLS original at Ainz tulpe ecute Tachikawa for 1,554 yen. And the website tokyoloveshop.com sells the original for 1,613 yen.
I admit I love this product and I'm looking for the most cheapest price, and I am very interested about 720 yen you've said.

Hope to get an answer from you.
    Thank you.

  14. Hi.. I tried sending an email to the customer support specialist but it just keeps bouncing back unto my inbox.. Anyway, I would like to ask few questions. First, can we buy directly from the factories in Japan producing tokyo love soaps? Second, is it true that at present there are 7 factories producing the said soap? There's an online seller here in the Phils claiming that they are the first line distributor of tokyo love soaps here. And when Screen shot that email from the customer support itself, i was told that they are buying the soaps directly from the factorie

    1. I am not sure how many factories produces this but since happy price is a small company of only 15 people, i am sure they are consigning production to difference factories. I do not know exactly how many. It is also possible to buy directly from these factories if your orders are in BULK. but if your going to buy few, you will not be entertained.

  15. Hi Ms. Miyumi,

We are really not sure about tokyoloveshop.com if they are selling authentic tokyo soap
    the reason are as follows

    1. as per happy price they told us that they didnt manufacture Ultimate and girl variants, so it means they didnt produce any ultimate and girl which tokyoloveshop.com sells

    2. we also emailed happy price and they told us that they know tokyoloveshop.com but they are not sure if they are selling authentic products

    3. tokyoloveshop.com sells a lot of product wherein happy price only have a few products they manufacture

4.we check the addresses of both the email that you have posted and we are skeptical on one of the address and also the email address that they use. there is no such physical address in japan and the when we check the www.tokyolovesoap.jp, the page is blank.

5.We emailed tokyoloveshop and email is non existing, means email keeps bouncing back

6.we try calling tokyoloveshop but phone number is also non existing.

hope you will be able to explain this. thank you

    1. 1. They did manufacture ultimate and girls, they are just bad in english. They are discontinued already so meaning, its not in the production anymore. everyone in japan saw girls and ultimate when they are in production. Ultimate is not a commercial soap, its for sample only.

      2. they are selling authentic products, happy price is never in a position to guarantee that a shop sells authentic since they do not know who are buying from them. I suggest you ask a receipt from tokyoloveshop for east of mind.

      3. they only sell what happy price is selling, the rest are under their own brand which is tokyo love shop and not tokyo love soap.

      4. tokyolovesoap.jp is owned by happy price, their email address is working maybe they blocked you because you are asking stupid questions? their physical address is fine too its a small shop that distributes many things not only tokyo love soap.

      5. their email is fine, you might be spamming them so your blocked.

      6. i tried calling them right now, its ringing but nobody is answering, its already 8 24 anyways.

    2. i bought all the variants of tokyo love soap in tokyoloveshop and bought some in rakuten. in rakuten they dont sell ultimate, i dont know if i just cant find it but in tokyoloveshop it seems that they have unlimited stocks of ultimate, if it was discontinued and they are not for resell. i know for a fact that ultimate was change to pure girls and girls is discontinued as well. one thing i noticed about the ultimate and premium that i bought in tokyoloveshop, i have check the bar codes of each variants and of course all variants have different bar code, but for ultimate and premium they do have the same code. the same bar code with the premium i bought in rakuten. is there any explanation about that? and why do tokyoloveshop have a lot ultimate variants when its already discontinued(both soap and packaging)?

one more thing, we just emailed them once asking about their authorized distributor which is think is not a stupid question and we do not spam. sorry for asking a lot of question an thank you for your reply. ^^

      Delete
    3. if you havent noticed, ultimate is 100% replica of premium box and since it was never intended to be sold, happy price did not bother registering the product with new bar code its an obvious thing. Also since you said your buying from Rakuten, why are you asking me for GIRLS since girls are all over Rakuten? Also, I cannot speak for tokyoloveshop I dont know about their stock but I do know that ainz tulpe have 50,000+ ultimate soap still so it would not be unusual if tokyoloveshop have stocks since they are just at the back of ainz tulpe shibuya. FYI, Ainz Tulpe is the first store that receives supply from happy price. they are the main distributor and I believe tokyo love shop gets stock from there due to obvious distance.

  16. Also, vinci,

    http://product.rakuten.co.jp/product/-/ff319a9dd4d34453ea48b6651c267ee6/

proof that girls was in production. Ultimate was never in production, it was given for free to big companies as sample though i saw its being sold in cosme, natta cosme and rakuten as well.

I suggest not listening or believing filipino resellers, they are notorious liars just to sell (not all but majority). I am in Japan so I have the authority to say which is which. actually, I called HP and they are going to change the box for PHILIPPINES only because of the notorious crab mentality there to protect legit sellers. They are going to product a local version of tokyo love soap with a face logo on the upper right to identify the local and authentic japanese.

    1. hello again, so you mean to say that i when they produce a local version its not authentic anymore?""" They are going to product a local version of tokyo love soap with a face logo on the upper right to identify the local and authentic japanese."" or what you mean to say is, for them to identify the soaps that they are selling are intended for Philippines buyers only?

      Delete
  17. Yes, happy price will release a soap for PH only and they will BAN ALL FILIPINOS from getting the authentic japanese supply which has no face mark on the upper right corner. so all soaps in Ph will be like this. Only genuine japanese seller will get the authentic box. Japanese companies are xenophobic so all filipino reseller will get the local box. The local box is almost the same however, there is a small face icon on the upper right of the soap to mark it as " for local selling only " The quality of that soap is also poorer because they adjusted the ingredients to be able to sell it cheaper. Its like the Japanese Cup noodles VERSUS the singaporean/hongkong/philipines cup noodles in which they are cheaper but japanese version is higher quality. I hope I answered your query vinci and I suggest you restock with the japanese version as soon as possible.

  18. hi, im living here in japan and i just purchased a tokyo love soap today at the amazon japan store. I am really worried If the soap that I bought was fake or not. I am hoping for your suggestion if amazon japan is a reliable seller too.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Jes, it depends, take note that amazon is not the seller. ANYONE can sell on amazon hence, having fake soaps there is not unusual

  20. Hi Miyumi, Can I buy that in any Rakuna store in Japan? Thanks! I've been following this thread and got really interested in buying directly among the 2 options you mentioned in Ainz tulpe Shibuya and Rakuten.
